I don't really care if they label me a Jesus freak. There ain't no disguisin' the truth.

I Am A Disciple

I am part of the Fellowship of the Unashamed. I have Holy Spirit power.
The die has been cast. I have stepped over the line.
The decision has been made. I am a disciple of Christ.
I won't look back, let up, slow down, back away, or be still.
My past is redeemed, my present makes sense, and my future is secure.
I am finished and done with low living, sight walking, small planning,
smooth knees, mundane talking and cheap living.
I no longer need pre-eminence, prosperity, position, promotions, or popularity.
I now live by faith, lean on His presence, walk by patience,
lift by prayer, and labour by His power.
My face is set, my steps are forward, my goal is Heaven,
My road is narrow, my way is rough, my companions few,
my Guide reliable, my mission clear.
I cannot be bought, compromised, deterred, lured away, turned back,
diluted, deluded or delayed.
I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, hesitate in the presence of adversity,
negotiate at the table of the enemy, ponder at the pool of popularity,
or meander in the maze of mediocrity.
I am a disciple of Christ. I must go until He comes, give until I drop,
preach until all know, and work until He stops me.
And when He comes to for His own, He will have no problem recognizing me.
For we have walked together all the days of my life.

“Jesus does not look with pity, but with compassion. There is a fundamental difference. Whoever looks with pity says, ‘that's terrible,’ and walks on, forgetting it all in that same instant. Whoever looks with compassion is never able to walk on, forget, or ignore. That person says, ‘that’s terrible. I cannot allow this to happen.’ It was compassion that moved Jesus to go to the dark, death-ridden tomb, calling out 'Lazarus!', transforming the cries of mourning and misery into tears of joy. It was compassion that led Him to my tomb and yours, calling us by name. For ‘God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions.’ If we want to follow Jesus, we must look at the world with compassion."

“Just as Jesus touched lepers and welcomed the outcasts, so must we. Just as He identified with the poor and the weak, so must we. He calls us to put our lives on the line for the suffering, the vulnerable, the victims of injustice. Loving the unloved is not just an optional extra. It is the heart and soul of the Christian gospel. Jesus did not mince words, yet even today many of His followers fail to understand. ‘Whatever you do for the least of these, you do for Me,’ He said. He is saying that, if we claim to love Him, we have to love them, the despised and downtrodden. To do this is not just to obey Christ. It is to minister to Christ Himself.”

From the book, "Street Girls". A true life story set in Brazil of one man who God uses, and is using, saving girls from lifestyles of being used, and abused. It is a fantastic book to read to get a glimpse of how God may use YOU, if you are willing to be used, and willing to surrender your life totally to Him.

Jesus Is The One
Jesus is the only One who can see the deepest secrets in your soul and not love you any less.
Jesus is the only Friend who always seeks to be with you, even when you push Him away.
Jesus is the only Person who hangs onto every word you say, even when what you say reflects the inherent sinfulness of your soul.
Jesus is the only One who hangs on to your hand, even when you let go of His.
Jesus is the only Guide who gives direction even when you don't listen.
Jesus is the only Savior who died to save your soul, even when you were yet a sinner.
Jesus is the only Counselor who gives counsel even when you don't esteem His counsel highly.
Jesus is the only One who looks for you even when you aren't seeking to be found.
Jesus is the only God who never gives up on you even when you have given up on Him.
...Why, then, is it, that we, though being loved so marvelously, seek to find solace in the mediocre things in life?
Friends, Jesus is the One who satisfies all the cravings you will have in your lifetime!

All Others

ALL OTHERS
ALL religious reformers came to live; Christ came to die.
ALL others leave monuments and memorials; no one can find His birthplace, grave, nor one possession.
ALL others write diaries and memoirs; He wrote on the sand.
ALL others choose their followers from the rich, powerful, and influential; He chose the poor and needy.
ALL others praise human righteousness; He condemned it.
ALL others seek those who can help them; He sought those He could help.
ALL others promise success and happiness to their followers; He promised tribulation and suffering.
ALL others held their disciples with fear and force; He invited His to leave Him if they would.
ALL others have palaces, mansions, and headquarters; He had no place to lay His head.
ALL reward the most talented with recognition, titles, and honor; He said, “The least should be the greatest.”
ALL others say, “Follow me: I will show you the way;” He said, “Come to Me, I Am The Way.”
ALL others stay dead; He arose; and all of His claims, works, and promises are true because God raised Him from the dead.

In His Love

I have been discovering more and more of God’s amazing love, And how He can work through us.

I was recently at a kids camp, with the primary intention of sharing the Gospel, and showing God’s love. At this camp in particular, I learnt more to rely on God more than what was previously usual. I relied on God fully for His love to be shown through me, for enthusiasm, strength, sleep, patience, wisdom and a lot of other random stuff. It completely changed camp for me. I was able to go five days on 14 hours sleep! I never lacked energy. I found I seemed to have the answers for the girls questions when I sent up an arrow prayer, and opened my mouth! I felt intense love for the girls that was fully not my own, and am excited that God has love like that for me! He sustained me throughout the week, and made me able, on His strength, to give out more than I was possibly physically able. It was on His grace alone I stood – and I have NEVER felt so FREE! At 4 in the morning when I had stayed up all night, I still had patience – and wasn’t tired the next day. Prayer works! I am resolved to do nothing on my own strength. Nothing because I have to. Everything because I want to. Everything ‘cause I want to please Him, not ‘cause I feel like I have to.

Why not join me?
The adventure begins!!!!!!

Risks!

To laugh is to risk being a fool.
To weep is to risk appearing sentimental.
To reach out to another is to risk involvement.
To express feelings is to risk exposing your true self.
To place your ideas and your dreams before a crowd is to risk their loss.
To love is to risk not being loved in return.
To live is to risk dying.
To hope is to risk despair.
To try is to risk failure.
The person who risks nothing -- does nothing, has nothing and is nothing.
They may avoid suffering and sorrow, but they simply cannot learn, feel, change, grow, love or live.
Risks must be taken because the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing.
Only a person who risks is free.

I have been inspired by God to risk everything for Him. That means vulnerability - that means showing my emotions.  That means doing this completely out of my comfort zone. That means breaking every mould I ever fitted. But I am doing it! And it is such an adventure with my King! I can just feel in up above looking down at me doing what He wants, proud of me. And laughing at me sometimes. I laugh at me, too! He is with me.
